Our spokeswoman Tanya Carter was invited onto the Matthew Wright Show today to discuss the NHS review into child gender transition, in the light of the legal challenge being led by a young woman who is suing the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust for giving her gender reassignment treatment in her teens.
Carter explained that “we want any guidelines in place to be based on what’s best for children, not what adult political lobby groups want.” She said “I’ve listened to several detransitioning women speak, and it’s absolutely heart-breaking listening to what was done to them, and hearing about the misogyny, the sexism, the homophobia they suffered growing up.”
