To all students receiving GCSE results today: academic success can help you to achieve your employment goals but remember that your mental health and well-being is equally important! Whatever your results, congratulations for getting through a tough few years!

To all teachers on GCSE results day: thank you for all your hard work. Safe Schools Alliance knows that ever-shrinking budgets make your job much harder than it should be. We appreciate all that you do to achieve the best outcomes for your students.

Students are more likely to achieve their potential in safe, stable and supportive learning environments which promote their mental well-being. We urge Boris Johnson, Gavin Williamson and the Department for Education to ensure schools have the funding to be able to do this.
