We have been contacted by numerous parents during the school closures who are concerned at what is being sent out by their children’s schools as part of PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and RSE (Relationships and Sex Education). These resources are often developed by or with lobby groups.
Stonewall have produced Home Learning Packs for parents to use with their children not only for PSHE and RSE but for other curriculum subjects. We have reviewed the Primary and SEND packs against safeguarding and RSE standards to help parents decide if they wish to use this teaching content.
We have found that in some areas these packs are biologically inaccurate, reinforce sexist stereotypes, and promote transgender ideology as fact while failing to promote lesbian visibility.
