On the 24th October 2019 the Women’s Human Rights Campaign organised a conference called ‘Inventing the Transgender Child, a new Sex Education?‘
Tracy Shaw spoke on behalf of SSA UK to present the work that we’ve been doing, both before and since we went public in June.
She talked about our actions relating to organisations such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission, the NHS Gender Identity Development Service and Oxfordshire County Council, and how we seek to to ensure their guidance and policies are fair and appropriate and put safeguarding of all children first
She also presented our Schools Equality and Diversity Policy Red Flags guidance, which we are urging parents and schools to use to ensure their policies are not discriminating against any pupils.
