Our spokeswoman Tanya Carter was invited to speak on the Matthew Wright Show today to discuss the safeguarding problems with Oxfordshire County Council’s trans toolkit.
Carter pointed out that Oxfordshire’s toolkit misrepresents the Equality Act 2010, which does allow for single-sex spaces. She stated that “…the law needs to be correctly applied, and when it is a situation where segregation needs to be done on the basis of sex, then that does mean sex and not gender identity, and that’s for everybody’s safety and comfort, particularly when we’re dealing with children.”
