The Times reports today on the High Court decision to allow Girl A’s case against Oxfordshire County Council’s trans guidance to proceed to Judicial Review, and quotes our spokeswoman Tanya Carter.

Safe Schools Alliance are grateful for all the support received since we announced that the case against Oxfordshire County Council will proceed to full trial. We are optimistic that the toolkit will be found to be unlawful.

We are pleased with the recent announcement from minister for Women and Equalities Liz Truss that, in considering how to respond to the consultation on the changes to the Gender Recognition Act, she will both protect single-sex spaces, and will be ‘making sure that the under 18s are protected from decisions that they could make, that are irreversible in the future’.
We hope this signals a return to policies being made that prioritise the safety of all children. You can read more about this announcement in The Spectator.

We are grateful to all the media who continue to shine a light on the multi-faceted safeguarding failings we are currently witnessing. Special thanks to The Times, The Sunday Times, The Mail on Sunday and The Morning Star for reporting on this topic: this is an issue that transcends party politics and we are grateful to every single person who has stood up for safeguarding children.
